Polybytes Beta Versions

PolyView64 Beta 4 (March 13, 2010)

PolyView64 Beta collection. After the download extract all three files in this zip file to the same folder on your computer (PolyView64.exe, PolyImagePro64.dll, and PolyView64.chm). Double-click on PolyView64.exe to run PolyView64.

The PolyView64 beta series is offered as an opportunity for you to preview the 64 bit edition of PolyView in order to insure widespread testing prior to the final release. In many cases the changes in this new version are significant and cause unforeseen problems that are not uncovered in our in-house testing. Please report any problem you find with the beta version to Polybytes and provide as much detail as you can. We are particularly interested in what operation PolyView64 was performing at the time the problem was observed, and how the problem manifested itself.

PolyView64 is compatible with the 64 bit editions of Microsoft Vista and Windows 7 (x86).

Beta Version 4 Changes

Corrected a crash problem related to attempting to browse to the Windows 7 "Homegroup"
Corrected a problem with access to the help file by supplying PolyView64.chm
Changed to use a PolyView64 specific section of the registry so that PolyView and PolyView64 can use separate properties. Note that with this change PolyView registration information will not work with PolyView64. But there is no loss of capability associated with this change.
The expiration date of beta 4 is June 30, 2010.

Corrected a crash causing problem related to unsupported file type open attempts.

Beta Version 2 Changes

Updated TWAIN support to use the 64 bit version of TWAIN 2.1.
